SUCCESS STORY: CITY OF PHOENIX

The City of Phoenix Fixed Route Services is the member agency within Valley Metro Regional Public Transportation Authority (RPTA). First Transit has operated the fixed route contract for the City of Phoenix since 2007. The 397-employee operation has a fleet of 167 vehicles. First Transit partners with the city to deliver on their vision of enabling people in Maricopa County to travel with ease using safe, accessible, efficient, dependable, and integrated public transportation services.

SUCCESS STORY: DENVER RTD PARATRANSIT CALL CENTER SERVICES

Denver Regional Transit District (RTD) is the regional public transit agency in the greater Denver, CO area. It operates over 2,300 sq. miles and serves more than three million people. First Transit began providing fixed route service to three of the four Denver RTD fixed route contracts in 1988. Beginning in 2002, First Transit took over operations for the Paratransit Call Center. This call center is the central hub for all paratransit reservations, dispatch, scheduling, and customer calls.

SUCCESS STORY: Illinois Department of Healthcare and Human Services - NETSPAP Call Center

First Transit has been in partnership with the Illinois Department of Healthcare and Human Services (HFS) in the provision of Non-Emergency Transportation Services Prior Authorization Program (NETSPAP) services since 2001. NETSPAP is a program of the HFS dedicated to help Medicaid Participants who have limited access to non-emergency transportation to and from a Medicaid covered health care services.

SUCCESS STORY: LOUISIANA STATE UNIVERSITY ON-DEMAND SERVICES

First Transit began providing campus shuttle services for LSU Tiger Trails in 2009. This operation of 32 vehicles and 70 employees supports more than 38,000 students, faculty, and staff annually. The Tiger Trails system operates 11 routes both on and off campus.

SUCCESS STORY: MIDDLETOWN AREA TRANSIT

Middletown Area Transit (MAT) is a quasi-municipal agency funded by the Federal Transportation Administration, the Connecticut Department of Transportation, and the City of Middletown, CT. MAT provides fixed route, ADA dial-a-ride, and rural transportation serving the towns of Middletown, Middlefield, East Hampton, Portland, Durham, and parts of Cromwell and Meriden. MAT provides direct service to Amtrak and the Westfield Shopping Mall in Meriden.

Other project partners included 3M, a multinational conglomerate spanning multiple industries and headquartered in Maplewood, Minnesota, and EasyMile, an autonomous vehicle manufacturer.

SUCCESS STORY: OMNITRANS

First Transit began providing transportation services for OmniTrans in San Bernardino, California in July of 2020. First Transit provides safe, reliable transportation for approximately 11 million passengers over a 480-square miles area, covering 15 cities and portions of less developed areas of San Bernardino County. We oversee a fleet of 107 vehicles and serve the community with paratransit and microtransit services.
